Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss!

In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday today, staff members and volunteers from Hands On Hartford are visiting the Center For Youth After School Program to read some of his books to children as part of Read Across America.
Read Across America is an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association. National Read Across America Day, an observance in the United States held on March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
Dr. Seuss, his real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel, published over 60 popular books for children. His characters are silly, his words rhyme, and his stories are set in wildly imaginative and colorful locations. Some of his most popular titles include: Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.
