Lead a Volunteer Team

Hands on Hartford Volunteer for a Project Flash Placeholder Become a Leader Now!Become a Leader Now!

How it Works

At Hands On Hartford we believe that meaningful volunteer experiences start with effective volunteer leadership.

As a volunteer leader you will help plan projects, manage project logistics, act as liaison between Hands On Hartford, nonprofit agency partners, and project sponsors, provide on-site direction, serve as a resource to volunteers during volunteer events, and collect and return project evaluations from volunteers.

All it takes to be a volunteer leader is some previous experience volunteering and a two hour volunteer leadership training course.

Once you're a volunteer leader, you can lead as few or as many projects as you’d like. You’ll also be able to apply your leadership training and skills in your paid job and in other capacities where leadership is valued.
