Brand Standards

Graphic/Brand standards for Hands On Hartford have been developed to communicate a clear and consistent identity. Standards apply to all print, electronic and audio visual communications. The agency’s commitment to excellence in design exemplifies a commitment to quality in all other respects. Guidelines for proper use of the agency’s logo will assure visual consistency and develop greater awareness of Hands On Hartford as a brand. Standards and guidelines presented here have the support of the Board of Directors.

The Logo
There is one official Hands On Hartford logo. The logo is the formal identifier for the agency, and may be used by any program or entity that is part of the agency. Use of the logo by any other agency or entity is limited and must have the prior written approval of the executive director or director of communications and development.

This is the proper version of the Hands on Hartfod Logo

The logo consists of a two-color representation of Hands On Hartford with tagline Caring in Action. The tagline is not to be left off or used alone. The logo should not be subject to distortion or manipulation, i.e., slanting, stretching, twisting or curving. When the logo is displayed in a communication in Spanish, the tag line may also be translated as Ayudar en Acción.

For a yet-to-be-determined period of time the phrase formerly Center City Churches will appear below the logo. If there are questions about whether or not it is appropriate to include it, please contact the director of communications and development.

Color
The logo should appear in a two colors whenever possible. The official colors of the Hands On Hartford logo are lime green (PMS 390) and purple (PMS 512), which mirrors the colors used in Hands On Network logo. The logo may also appear in one-color black with the “ON” in a 50% screen of black, or be reversed out altogether (to solid white) if the background on which it is to appear is dark.

Although the logo may be printed on any background, the integrity of the logo demands that no words or images overlap or merge with it. It should never be integrated into illustrations, cartoons or other symbols or logos.

Artwork
Camera ready artwork of the logo is available in EPS and JPEG formats from the Communications Department at Central Office. Please direct questions and/or requests for brochures, stationery items, camera-ready reproduction art and electronic files, signage and website updates to the director of communications and development in Central Office: 860.728.3201, x-2002, or info@handsonhartford.org.
